Keto Pancake and Waffle Mix
One of my favorite breakfast foods is waffles. Thick and slightly crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, what’s not to love? But over the past few years I have noticed that as much as I love carbs, they love me back, in all the wrong places.
So I have been cutting back on carbs and instead look for ways to enjoy my favorite foods in various creative ways. I enjoy experimenting with new recipes, but occasionally will come across a new product that does it for me. The first Birch Benders product I tried was the Birch Benders Paleo Pancake & Waffle Mix. The Paleo mix is delicious and gluten-free.
I then came across the Birch Benders Keto Pancake & Waffle Mix, which in my opinion has a taste that more closely resembles a waffle made with flour. This mix is made with
- almond flour
- eggs
- tigernut flour
- organic coconut flour
- cassava starch
- buttermilk
- leavening (monocalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate)
- salt
- spice
According to the Birch Benders website the Keto mix has only 5 net carbs per serving. So heat up your waffle iron, and I’ll see you at breakfast!
